Week 8 at Bochum Part3

Third station: Rome

Rome was the capital of Italy and the country's largest and most populous city. Rome's history as a city spans over two and a half thousand years, as one of the founding cities of Western Civilisation. It was the centre of the Roman Empire.

Vatican City was a landlocked sovereign city-state whose territory consists of a walled enclave within the city of Rome, the capital city of Italy. At approximately 44 hectares (110 acres), and with a population of around 900, it was the smallest country in the world by both area and population.

Vatican had the biggest Catholic Church - st. Peter's cathedral.

Inside the church. It was a very big and spectacular church.

This path was for pope to walk when there were any events.

This was godfather, I knew it from TV.

K, it was parying.

Haha Ya I was very lucky to have chance to take photo with those nuns.

Let me posted the card hope you will recieve.

The Mausoleum of Hadrian, usually known as the Castel Sant'Angelo, is a towering cylindrical building in Rome, initially commissioned by the Roman Emperor Hadrian as a mausoleum for himself and his family. The building was later used as a fortress and castle, and is now a museum.

Piazza di Spagna

(haha look at the beauty deside me)

The piazza di Spagna is one of the most popular meeting places in Rome. It is also one of the most visually pleasing squares. The combination of a monumental staircase - the famous Spanish Steps, an obelisk and a rosy church draws photographers to the square.

At the foot of the Spanish Steps was the Fontana della Barcaccia,

A sober fountain commissioned by Pope Urban VIII and designed by Gian Lorenzo Bernini. It looks like a broken boat.

At the top of piazza di Spagna

Trevi Fountain also called the happiness fountain, because its formerly fountain is especially reavie Fontana (di) fountain Trevi, legend will bring people happy, pool has a huge sea carriage driving, laden with, surrounded by the western myth of the gods, every statue expression are not the same, life like statue of the gods, the base is a seemingly messy sea reef.

Let me made a wish.

Hope my wishes will come true.
